We finally got to meet "The Boyfriend"

My Sister has a new boyfriend.

Well he might not be considered "new" anymore but WE haven't met him yet.

She likes to build us up as REALLY SCARY people.

Not sayin' she doesn't have good reason, I'm just sayin'...

I think he liked us. But really, what is not to like???
Besides me,
I used to be a little intimidating, a long time ago.
It may or may not of been a few months ago but really, who's counting??

Ava enjoyed having Auntie over.

She liked the boyfriend too,
she is a pretty good judge of character.

Although I can't promise she wont leave with anyone who has a puppy or candy.

We need to work on that.


I love my girl.

Yesterday when we were leaving for our date, she says
"Bye Momma, bye Daddy! You go on your date! I go on my date with Grandma!"

One of us has separation anxiety.

Really, I am glad it is not her.

That is so cute! I freggin LOVE how you start out about a post about something else and always come back to your daughter. It just shows how much she's always on your mind.

She really is EVERYTHING to me. IT is all about her. We need to have another kid so I don't give her issues... :)

Adventures in Potty Training...

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
