A few things...

If you know me you know that I am not much of a meat eater, I like chicken & fish but any red meat really isn't my thing. I hate all things related to bacon or sausage. So to be "funny" John took pictures of Ava eating some Canadian bacon he fed her while I was away.
I love how she looks at it like WTH are you feeding me??

She was pretty proud to show them off to her daddy.

Oh and on a side note, Ava doesn't NEED NAPS!!

Just ask her.
And then notice how she FELL ASLEEP WHILE EATING DINNER!!?


Seriously??? You need naps kid.

Totally with you on the red meat thing...I can't to anything on a bone or processed like hotdogs or sausage. If I come across any kind of fat or unfamiliar looking something I am DONE. Aubrey seems to be taking after Daddy too and loves all her stinky, potted meat baby food....eeewwww!!!

I keep hearing that everything is a phase! Just when I think I know Logan's schedule, he changes it. Maybe the naps will come back! Logan doesn't nap much. He takes about 4 during the day and for no more the 30 minutes, but then he does sleep for 11-12 hours straight : )

Madeline I can't believe he sleeps that long! You are really lucky. Ava didn't believe in sleep either at that age, she would give me like 15 minutes or something equally ridiculous. EVERYTHING is a phase. We have to keep telling ourselves that so we don't go insane. Plus it is true. The second you are happy or bitching about something it totally changes. There is nothing consistent about kids except the way we are crazy about them (and because to them!) Have you ever been more in LOVE though???

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!
