Zoo Fun!

Image
Our group, 6 adults and 9 kids.    Love the sister bond between these two!!  They remind me of my girls. : )  So many little ladies!  Of our 9, only one boy, and he's only a tiny baby. : )  Alayah is so cute with her little friends!  Baby Lyon, adorable!  These girls literally ran circles around us.   More sister cuteness.  My little JOY.  Love this family, miss them!  Are we there yet?  : )  Surprise!  Love this one!  What are all these silly faces?  So funny!!  Poor little bug. Such a fun day hanging out with my Norah bug & so many friends!  It was funny, I hadn't wanted to tell Ava where Norah & I were going.  I told Norah that morning that we were going to the zoo with Alayah and to please not tell Ava because it ...

Silly Little Norah

Norah has been so funny lately.  And even though this movie is oh so pathetically sad, I can't help but laugh.  She is so dramatic! The reason she was upset this time was that she thought I should go to the store that very moment to buy her mangoes, apparently she believes grandma would be more accommodating to her needs. The other day she was sitting on the couch I had just vacuumed, eating a muffin.  I looked over at her and she is just surrounded by crumbs (She often can eat them without making a mess at all) I say to her "Norah!! I just cleaned the whole house, I just vacuumed these couches!  Look at the mess you have made!!"  She looks to her left, then to her right, then says "Mom, I think you are going to need to vacuum this one again." hahahaha

If the shoe fits...

Both of the girls love getting new shoes, so they were of course both thrilled when they each got a shiny new pair yesterday from grandma.  They nearly match and both light up, which has been on Ava's want list FOREVER.    What's even more fun than new shoes?   Stealing your sisters new shoes of course!!  So cute!  And I'm so glad they don't have laces!!  Now she just needs pants.  Here's Norah sneaking some love from Ava while she's hard at work busting out 28 Valentines.  This has got to be the biggest project she's ever done for school.  It was fun watching her go through the list, working on getting them all done.   Maybe I will just randomly buy Valentines for her to have to fill out, it's such great writing practice! Thanks again mom for the shoes, you're the best!!  xoxo

Cookies with (and for) Santa

Image
We had a really fun day yesterday, considering we are all still really sad about Oreo.   I just adore her little face.   Norah told me that her cat ran away, and she wished he would come home.   I reminded her that he had died.   Norah:  Can we get a new cat mommy? Me:  Maybe someday. Norah:  Sunday!  Okay! Me: No, Norah, SOMEDAY. Norah:  Okay, how about while I'm taking my nap? I got the girls out the door early, ready to go see Santa at Pump it Up, this is a tradition for us, we've done the last few years.  I love it because there is no mall line or mall price, they let me take as many pictures as I want and give the kids a cookie to boot!  Who wouldn't love that?  Pockets!!  She keeps telling me that she's grown up now.  Sadly, I think it's sort of true.  Then two seconds later she wants to pretend to be my baby.  I'm okay with that.    In fact, I think I ...
