Crazy Love Gamble-Style

John and I took the girls to seaside last Saturday, and we had the very best time. They almost gave up as we headed out of town as the traffic was so terrible, but we stayed the course, and we did make it! We rode the bumper cars first, which was a big hit, followed by everything else we can think of fun to do in town. The girls loved riding this bike, it was a lot of work, but good exercise and a great way to see the town! The fun mirrors were very entertaining. We had a nice picnic on the beach, followed by ice cream in town. The girls rode the carousel a few times. Nor actually chose that over getting ice cream for herself. Such a fun family day! Perfect day trip. Love days like this.

The Friday before Thanksgiving I took Ava into the doctors office.  She had been having a dry cough all week and then started in on a runny nose and such.  She seemed to be struggling to breath in the middle of the night but seemed pretty good once she got up.   I'm always a little on the fence with taking my kids to the doctor since usually they can't do much for them.  Before I called the office I said a little prayer and asked the Lord to make it clear to me what I needed to do to best take care of Ava.    I started my advice nurse call with "Ava's breathing has been very labored" and she stopped me right there and said, "We don't mess around with breathing issues, we need to see her right away."  Thanks Lord!  There was my very clear message.  : )    I took her in and wasn't too concerned, she seemed relatively fine.  Sick yes, and some asthma issues yes, but nothing too crazy.   Boy how I underestimat...

Yikes, I have no desire to blog.  I feel like my to-do list is sooooo long and blogging really isn't getting on that list right now.  I'm trying to focus on getting to bed earlier too which is usually when I catch this up.  I will try to get back in the swing of it soon.   For now, here's a few pictures from Jan's wedding.  I somehow lost nearly all of my photos from this event, which makes me super sad.  Good thing lots of other people took pictures!! It was such a great time, filled with family and love and the perfect send off to an amazing couple!   Here's to Jan & Jay!  We couldn't be happier for them both!!
