Queen Ava

Image
This is just one of our little princesses looks, or should I say queen?  Queen Elsa to be exact.  These girls are so deep into imaginary play it's awesome.  They play all kinds of My Little Pony games together as well as doctor, family, Frozen, Star Wars...the list goes on and on.  I love their little minds, full of big ideas!  Such fun little ages, can we just freeze them like this??  Pretty please??

Friday FUNNY.

So Ava drew this giraffe.   She brought it to me in a stack of other drawings, much of them similar to ones I'd seen before.  I sent her into John's office to show him her artwork.  I didn't hear him respond at all, so I called out from the kids room, "Did you see the giraffe?  I love that one!"  (It's not that I thought it was some masterpiece, I was just happy to see her drawing something new)  John comes into the girls room holding Ava's drawing sideways and says....    "So mommy LOVES the giraffe huh??" Um yeah, we will be saving this one to give back to her at her wedding shower or some event where she will be able to appreciate the humor in it.  She says "Daddy says you should post this on Facebook!"  Then later asked if I did, I told her it had become quite popular on there.  : )

21 Questions (again)

Image
Back in January, about a year ago I asked Ava 21 questions, with the intention of asking her the same questions each year to see how her answers change.  I originally found this suggestion on Pinterest , here is Ava's second go at it, followed by her first answers from last year. 1.What is something Mommy always says to you? "Go potty every morning when I wake up"   Last Year--> “Brush my teeth”   2. What makes Mommy happy? "Me being good."    “Cleaning up the house” 3. What makes Mommy sad? "Me not being good."     “That I don’t clean up the house” 4. How does Mommy make you laugh? "By tickling me"     “By tickling me” 5. What was Mommy like as a child? "Good."   “Toys” (I think she thought I meant “what did mommy like as a child?”) 6. How old is Mommy? "45"(damn it!!!)    “18” (nice) 7. How tall is Mommy? "Higher then the counter" (which she is sitting on right now) ...

Happy Five.

My smart, beautiful, silly little Ava woke up FIVE today (yesterday now)  My lucky, blessed little girl had her amazing grandparents here, with her, on her special day.  Ava requested to have her party at Papa's Pizza,  just like last year.  They have a great area for the kids to play.  There are so many fun things to do there, including a Ferris wheel, which is Ava's  favorite.  We had lots of great friends & family there to help us celebrate.  Alayah  Earrings?  Seriously?  Henry : )  Bayli  Yay candy! Auntie Linda  Ava requested a "Rainbow Cake" Grandma Julie nailed it with the best Cold Stone strawberry ice cream cake ever.  Nate (Her self proclaimed future husband)  Listening  Beautiful Bayli So far, I love five. That's easy, I love everything Ava.

Ava's BETTER!!

Yes.  She is back to herself.   9 days of fever later. I finally broke down and went back to the doctor. I never want to go, they seriously do NOTHING. But this time, since she had been sick for so  long, they hooked her up with some drugs.  I'm so thankful.  It's great having HER back.  She even gets to do a make up day at school tomorrow! And yes, there seem to be pictures again, for now. I may of found a loop hole, not sure yet, but so far, so good.  : )

Waiting...

Image
Not much happens around here when the littles aren't feeling well.  We just hang out, Norah was actually somewhat excited when I packed her up this morning to rush off to the doctors.  If I knew how long they were  going to make us wait, I would of taken my  time : )  Ava is such a goofball.   : )  I snapped these pictures while she was on the phone with Auntie Jessica, I couldn't, and still can't get over how OLD she looks in them.  She's been acting like a naughty teenager all day.  We think it has something to do with me  holding this little girlie all day, Ava's feeling a little left out.  She did try to push her way  onto my lap several times but it was just  making Norie cry so she had to be kicked off.  : (  This is how we found Norah when she woke  up from her nap, somehow she pulled both  her shirts down over her waist.  Poor ...
