Laughing through it.

So today wasn't great, I am still in recovery mode I guess.  I was able to get the kids to  Ava's field trip but sadly Norah wasn't up  for sitting through a puppet show, for KIDS. Did she not get the memo that this shit is fun?  Being sisterly.  & Crazy.  & Funny   I dressed one of these kids, the other dressed herself, can you guess which??   This girl has a firm grip on fashion,  just not always my taste in it. But what do I know, right??  Stacking fun!  Norah was trying to stack her cheese & pineapple too.  She might not be able to sit through a puppet show but this girl is her own bundle of entertainment.  She equally drives me insane & makes me laugh 300 times a day.   Love these crazy kids.

Sick Day

Yesterday I woke up not feeling so hot. I went right back to bed as John settled Norah into the living room with a show & some snacks. I knew I had to get up & try to get our day going, but I just didn't have it in me. I finally got us all up, ready & fed and we  headed out to the library.  My main goal at this point was just to burn through some time so that we could drop off Ava at school & get home to take a nap.  (Generally I don't  believe in naps for myself) When Norah got up and wandered off from where Ava & I were reading books I felt  like I was going to cry at the thought of  chasing her down.   We eventually got Ava to school & Norah down & that was it.  I laid on the couch the  rest of the day, feeling not up for anything. Both the kids were so sweet, each laying on  me snuggling, Ava petting my head, saying  "Mommy you never get sick" and  Norah crawling across my weak stomach.

Home Sweet Home

It's so nice to be home. I feel so productive here! Today I got (partially) caught up on laundry (the never ending battle).  I also jumped back into my organization  project , today I conquered my make up  bag, cleaned under my bed, organized all the closets & cleaned out the pantry.   The pantry has been at the top on my list FOREVER but it's just so dang cold out  there.  Today I made the girls bundle up  and we got it done pretty quickly.  Yay! The best thing about being home (aside  from the obvious of being here with John)  is having access to exercise! It seems as being in the middle of snow  country with two little kids and no one to  watch them lends to not much opportunities to get out and get moving.   Once more people got there we did get to  go on some good walks but I missed running & hot yoga.   When we got home Sunday it was sunny &  fairly warm out, I did 5 miles then headed out to yoga.  It felt

Puppies & Birthdays

We finished up our week at the mountain celebrating Grandpa John's birthday.  It was fun, his parents joined us, as did Chris & D'Auna.  They even brought their newest little addition, Izzy.  The kids were THRILLED.  They all had so much fun playing with her!  Ava found some kids outside to play with too, that was great, we all got to stay in, where it was warm.  : )  I adore this one, these little girls are so cute  together!!  Us big girls aren't so bad either.  : ) You know me, always making everyone pose...  The girls had a lot of fun playing with Great Grandma Judy!  Dancing  Alayah is adorable!!  The birthday boy.  He's really 56 but who's counting?  I love the look he & Ava are giving each other here. We had a nice little celebration that included Thai  food, amazing cake & ice cream, g
