Crazy Love Gamble-Style

 Let's take a look back, this was Ava on the first day of Kindergarten.  And here she was yesterday, on her final day.  First grade here she comes!  I told her I wanted to take a few pictures of her before we left for school.  The whole way there she kept running ahead and stopping at any thing pretty and posing for me.  haha, so we got a few more than I intended...  I love this one.  Her friends wanted to get in on the action too.   That look!  This next set were all taken at the "graduation"  They had this cute banner above their heads with each of their names & portraits.    They sang a bunch of songs for us, so cute!!  And then they shook the principals hand and hugged Mrs. Reed.  Little BFF's   Mrs. Reed : )  Sam & Malia  Us.  Ava is a little under the weather but it hasn't stopped her from wanting to go to school.  I've just been having her rest all day then go & come home and rest some more.  She doesn't have a fever or anything so I guess that's what you are supposed to do.  Hopefully she will be back to her happy, healthy self shortly.  Norah LOVES taking her to school.  We walk there every day and then sit and wait until the teacher comes and leads them into the class room.  Norah spends that time balancing on beams, running around, playing, jumping in and out of line, jumping down from the wall to the bench and just hamming it up all over the place.  As cute as she is, I can see the look of relief in the teachers eyes that they don't quite have to deal with her yet, that that level of energy will be departing soon and coming home with me.   Ava just seems so grown up these days!!  While she is at school I've been working ...

I will be honest, I'm enjoying this whole school thing more than I ever saw coming.  It's actually been quite blissful.  Somehow I've convinced Norah that it's the perfect time for her to nap.  Which means it's the perfect time for me to exercise, do laundry, do dishes, eat lunch in peace, sunbathe (this week), read, paint my toenails, organize closets and just enjoy a little quiet time.  Love that.   Although with it being 80 mid-week at the coast right now I'm a little missing the freedom to go enjoy that but I'm pretty happy with this new set up too!!  Might as well embrace it, right?? Ava is over the moon about school still.  She was sad over the weekend that she had to wait so long to go back and super thrilled that she gets to go FIVE WHOLE DAYS IN A ROW!! this week.  I'm glad she loves it.  Surprisingly they haven't given her any homework yet, I'm assuming any day now it will hit.  She's less than excited abou...

 When talking about this day coming, Ava's first day of kindergarten, my mother in law actually said to me, "Take lots of pictures!"  hahahahahahaha  Has she met me???  None the less, that made me smile.  : )  I prepped Ava for this part, I let her know that this day is a big deal to all of us and that I was going to need to take a lot of pictures, that I was going to need her total cooperation.  She seemed more than fine with this, it pleased her that I would be properly documenting a day that meant so very much to her.  I put out an outfit that I thought she would love and when she saw it she was thrilled, "Mom that is exactly what I wanted to wear today!"  I love that John took some time off of work to come with us to take Ava to school.  It's so sweet how I never have to ask him, he just shows up for her, when ever she needs him.  He's such a good daddy.  It took Ava about 3 seconds to meet her firs...
