Three Years Old?!!

My little baby is turning 3 today,
where has the time gone?
Yesterday we had a little party for her.
Ok, truth be told, not so little, more like huge.

We got home Christmas evening, put Ava to bed
and ripped our tree down. We put away every last
Christmas decoration and replaced it all with birthday motif.

Yes, we are crazy like that.

It took Ava a few hours of reveling in balloons to
notice her beloved tree was missing : )

She soon realized there were a whole new slew of gifts
to be open (there really is something to be said for tricking
these December birthday people into thinking their birthday
is in July, way too many gifts in a very short period of time!)

The house was packed full of Ava admirers,
we have such wonderful, supportive friends and family.
Ava was so cute, each guest that arrived she gave huge
hugs to and thanked them for coming. She was jumping
up and down telling people she is 3 now!

She was so excited for cake she started asking for it
soon after she woke up.
Our happy little 3 year old:
We had to negotiate with her to keep opening presents.
Between the last few days she was on total present overload.
After the day was through I packed up a bunch of her
gifts, put them in the attic and marked the calendar a few
months from now to break them out again.
She will be thrilled on that day, seeing all her wonderful
gifts she has already forgotten about.

Here she is blow drying her hair, she loves this thing,
if you were here yesterday, you also probably got your
hair blown dry too.

It was a great day. Ava couldn't of been happier.
She loves being surrounded by her friends and family.
The last few days have been exhausting,
but all this craziness is worth it when you make your
favorite THREE year old this happy.
Happy birthday sweet girl!
You mean the world to us.

Sorry we missed it, it looks like it was awesome! Its hard to believe Ava was just starting to eat rice cereal when we met her...how big she is! Smart idea of putting away some of the presents, I really toyed with doing the same for Ty's Christmas presents...
