A Christmas Party

This evening Ava and I went to a Christmas party.
It was a football/white elephant/cookie decorating party.

Can you guess Ava's favorite part?

She was an expert cookie decorator. She must of sat
there for 3 hours decorating cookie after cookie.
She was shocked when she saw someone eat one.
"No, you can't eat these, they are just to decorate!"

Then she caught on that we could eat them,
so I had to set a limit : )

Ava was the oldest. Also the only kid old enough to
get knee deep in frosting and sprinkles.

I was shocked to find not one speck of frosting on
her dress when we got home! Very impressive!

Ava also basically won the white elephant gift exchange,
she selected the much coveted Star Bucks gift card.
I told her to just cry if anyone tried to take it from her.

Everyone wanted to, no one dared : )

Jason and his sweet daughter Lilee all crashed out.

We had a great time at the party. Chris & D'Auna
have the nicest friends. Here they are walking out with
us, where Ava impressed them with her counting skills
as she counted each step they walked down.

Well, impressed them until she skipped the number 7
over and over. Then for some reason she got stuck on 17
like a broken record. Good thing she can hold on to that
whole being two excuse for a few more weeks... : )
