Off to the beach...

Good morning all!
Last night I had a date night with my BFF Billy.
We had a lovely dinner, Thai food of course,
then we went to see Sex in the City 2.
I don't think the movie got very good reviews
but I don't know who they have reviewing these things.
Men?
People not attached to the characters I would guess.
Billy and I both loved it.
We laughed the whole way through, we cried.
To me this IS what makes up a good movie.

I was also really happy that even though Billy is super pregnant
and really close to her due date and usually early,
we were still able to go out together!

I didn't even have to deliver her baby for her!

This morning when Ava woke up she yelled for me,
"Mommy?? Mommy???"
More like a question.
When I went into her room she says
"Your not with Billy anymore?"
It is funny how their little minds work.

It is Memorial Day weekend. Yay for long weekends!

I even took Sunday off so we are going to the beach.
Tonight it is just the three of us but tomorrow
it will be Mom, John, Jeff, Fernanda, Chris, D'Auna, Jessica,
Katharina, Travis, Camden & Morgan. 14 people and a dog.
That my friends is a full house.
Should be a lot of fun.

Man, I'm jealous! I'm dying to see that movie! T told me the same thing that it got bad reviews but I told him that it doesn't matter...true fans of the show will love it no matter what.

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
