One of the happiest places on earth, for now.


We went to Pump It Up today. Ava LOVES it there. She can hardly stand how fun it is, running, jumping and just going crazy, kid style. Today her good friend Sammy and her handler Tracy met up with us. Ava absolutely adores Sammy. She talks about her non-stop. The girls had a great time letting off some steam and Tracy and I enjoyed chatting (I love Tracy much like Ava loves Sam). The only problem with this place is you often run into wild, poorly managed children that pose real threats to your own child's safety & well being. This time there was one very problematic child, well he had a brother much of the same temperament but the older one was MUCH worse. I was torn between feeling really sorry for their mom or getting the cute little family kicked out of the joint permanently.

I agree! Those wild boys were totally out of control! I'm just glad no one got seriously injured!

sometime when we are around I want to go!!!! Poor, deprived Ty living outside the thriving metropolis no longer has those kinds of opportunities...

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
