I love me a bargin!

Thanks to her awesome mom & some seriously
good Craiglist skills, Norah got a new toy...
Ava was pretty excited, "Put her in there!! Put her in there!!"
I had to wrap Norah in a blanket to make her not totally
flop over, she isn't quite ready yet but I know she will be soon.
She looked pretty fascinated by all the toys, lights
& sounds the thing makes, it's basically the best
exersaucer EVER, it sells for about $120 new
and I got it for $30. I am confident that I could
sell it for at least $50-$60 when I am done with it
so that is pretty awesome.
We had a good craigslist weekend, we also sold a dog
kennel for $50 the same day I listed it and I originally
bought that for $30 on CL several years ago.
Just in case you are not super impressed with my
shopping skills I will leave you with Ava's crazy outfit.
She put it together all by herself, if you couldn't of guessed.

Gotta love that. : )

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
