Pictures from our camping trip:

We had a wonderful time in Detroit Lake over the
weekend. We went camping with Erik, Tiffani,
Colton & Jessica.

Erik even brought the boat.
It is somewhat of a tradition in our family to
bring not just a boat, but a broken boat to the lake.

Good think, like the generations before him,
Erik is pretty handy at fixing boats.
Ava thought being on the boat was really cool,
until we traumatized her by going really fast.
This is Erik, minus his head : )
Ava was happy as a clam in the water.
She sang songs about swimming and
told me she never ever wants to get out of the
water. She is a fish.
We took a lot of walks around the beautiful campground.

We spent a lot of time in the boat,
at least while it was working.
It re-broke mid trip but Erik managed to fix it again.

Ava says "Erik is always fixing the boat."
that made me giggle.

John comforting Ava the 324th time we went too
fast for her.
Maybe we shouldn't of let Colton drive the boat?
Ava at the campground wearing her "Big Sister" shirt.
I asked her what her shirt said after I put it on her,
she says "I am a VERY naughty girl"
Yep. That's about right : )

Walking with Auntie.
Ava kept saying "we are going on our own walk"
when we walked with them, she really wanted us to
leave her alone I guess.
Playing on the picnic bench:

Mastering squirt guns:
She was so cute, she would do these dramatic poses & get
these mean "I am going to shoot you!" looks on her face
as she squirted the water.
Colton caught a fish, Lily wants to catch it next:
He was so proud he even ate it!
We had a great camping trip filled with laughter,
mediocre food and good times!

Actually the food was pretty good, at one point we had some
of the best pizza I ever had and I was even able to laugh
when Erik dropped all our noodles in the dirt, eventually.

I would have been scared going fast, too! Poor kiddo...

fun times! I will never forget being stranded on the boat in the middle of the night @ detroit while I was pregnant and had to pee!

Yeah, that is all part of the fun Rhi! Or holding a flashlight that barely works as we try to find our dock in the pitch dark.

or having no lights while you try to find the dock in the pitch dark because the barely working flashlight is taped up to stand in as the boat light. Always good times.
