Cozy.

This girl.  Every morning we have a routine.  She used to wake up screaming & crying for me to come get her out of her crib but I have since taught her to yell "Mommy! I'm awake!" and she does now, every morning.  It's so much more pleasant then her old way!

After I change her diaper we go get some milk, yogurt & coffee for me and sit down on the couch.  The other day I put a blanket on my lap and she says "I need a blanket!" so I tucked it onto her lap.  She says, "Oooh cozy."  She then looked to her left and saw my laptop sitting near her, she turns to me and says "Computer need a blanket too?" and then put the corner of the blanket on it.  So funny!  

Love this sweet girl.

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
