8 years.

Today is a very special day.  We've been married eight years today!
 We've been learning a lot of things about each other through the years, all of them making us understand each other better and in turn making our marriage stronger.  It's not always perfect, but I wouldn't want any other person by my side, he is The One. Or more accurately, MY ONE.



I can very honestly say that I have never been happier in my life, and it is largely due to being married to my wonderful husband.  I have never felt more freedom to just be myself, I feel surrounded by love and respect, and I can't imagine having anything else more conducive to a good marriage.  He is my best friend, my rock, my heart.  I know he is as proud of me, as I am of him.  We lift each other up and pull each other through.  Our love, our life together, it's a very beautiful thing! 







I really couldn't feel more blessed!

Adventures in Potty Training...

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
