Messy Hair

We are having a very nice weekend.
Bob & Barbie (John's parents) are here visiting.
These pictures have absolutely nothing to do with that.

Check out Ava's messy hair.
She is a phone addict, can someone please buy
her her own phone? We are also addicts so she is
cutting into our stash or time as the case may be.
At least she is cute.
She has that going for her.
Although she is not always cute.

Messy hair times two!
The lovely D'Auna,
pretty soon to be holding her own sweet little girl!
I know, we have a theme here.
This was her St. Patrick's Day outfit, although it
isn't looking super green in these pictures.
And she looks kind of mad.
Probably pooping, that is what she does.
763 times a day, but I think I mentioned that.
Both girls, I love this.

And for the moment they are both sleeping,
aaaaahhhhh.
Gotta love that.

Adventures in Potty Training...

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
