Hello Monday!

Where's Ava?
Oh there she is!
Now she is begging to take my picture...
I don't think she got the response she was after.
That girl needs her own camera!

I am feeling more and more pregnant these days.
That is not a complaint, just the way it is.
My tummy is getting huge & I have been getting
heartburn a bit here and there. I think I remember
that happening at the last part of my pregnancy with
Ava too. Last night at work by the end of my shift my
hips just felt done. In fact they sort of still feel that
way this morning. Hopefully that is just a strange
temporary thing since with Ava that didn't start happening
until the last week or so. I still have about 3 months to go.

Somehow that seems like BOTH a long time and no time at all.

Yikes.

Adventures in Potty Training...

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
