Crazy Love Gamble-Style

We live about 2oish miles outside of Sherwood. Many of my very favorite people live there. Sometimes I dream of moving there, but really, 20 minutes is no big deal when you get to see friends! First we met up with Billy and the 3 littles at the library. There happens to be a doughnut shop right there, calling our names. Amelie: Serious multitasking. Keeping everyone happy & quiet ...and laughing! She always makes it look so easy. Ben hiding in the books: Cute little family We had a great quick visit with Billy & her family then we went to Target to kill some time while Morgan got her beauty sleep in preparation for our visit. We even ran into two of our other friends Madeline & Logan while we were shopping. Sherwood is a small world I tell you. Next off to Katharina's for some serious playing. Yes. The sickness has begun. Shopping. Baby girl clothes are, and always have been, my weakness. I also have a thing for matching little girls, not crazy matching, like twins, more like a theme. A while back Ava was lying on the couch, she looks over at me and says "Thank you for nothing." I told her that wasn't a very nice thing to say to me and she says "I wasn't talking to you mom, I was talking to the couch." Sure you were. Today she says to me "Mommy I am going to get you a new Ava, one that will listen to you." Thanks honey, that is what I have always wanted.

It was no surprise to me when we couldn't quite make it past the casino on our way to Seattle. The car had 4 people in it, 3 that can't turn down a quick stop to win some money. The 4 th being me who is happy to accommodate these desires, also I think sushi was promised... We played Spanish 21, a form of blackjack and everyone won a little money, Linda won the most so she bought dinner. We had a nice Chinese & Vietnamese dinner including hot tea which always makes me happy. No sushi though, I guess that was just a trick... Our 3 hour drive took us a little over 6 hours with our little stop, traffic and the downpour of rain that seemed to never let up. We just hoped it was getting it out of it's system so we could hit the town the next day with no rain. Here we are arriving at our hotel.
