Getting out of the house = much better!

Just as I suspected, keeping Ava a bit busier was the
key to her happiness, and consequently, my own.
Friday we got up early and headed out to meet up with
Mom, Linda and a little girl that Linda watches on Fridays.

Ava was a joy to be around the entire day.
We went out to breakfast, then took the kids swimming.
Ava blew the 5 year old away with her swimming skills.
All day I just couldn't get over this outfit,
dying over the cuteness!
Ava met a friend, Evan.
Turned instant play-date.
We still haven't figured out the other issues
but as far as constant fits, getting Ava out of the house
seems to be the answer.

Adventures in Potty Training...

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
