Where ever did I go?

I have been hiding out at the beach the last few days.

Here are a couple of the little people that joined us.
We had amazing weather.
It was a bit cloudy but actually hot at times.
This was taken right before a big wave came and scared
Amelie into never wanting to go to this beach again.
Good thing she still wants to go to the beach
just not this particular beach access.

The girls played games and got along great.
Baby Zech, such a good little boy.
The girls were best of friends and were sad to go
there separate ways.
Our friends had to leave early so Ava & I stayed
and got caught up on some photo projects.
It was really nice relaxing and getting a bunch of
stuff accomplished. The house looks amazingly
clean, now we must head home, here's to hoping
our house is just as clean when we get there : )

Adventures in Potty Training...

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
