Wintery Fun

The other day we actually got some snow.
Not saying it was anything substantial but it was
enough to get our girl all excited...
She put on her snow bibs and squeezed herself
into last years snow boots and begged to go outside.

I was having none of it myself, it was too darn cold!

She kept saying "I need skis!! Call Grandma!"

I tried to explain to her we would need a bit more
snow then a light dusting to actually be able to ski.
I don't think she was buying it.

She did get cold pretty quickly and decided she was
ready to be warm again.

There is nothing more warming then jammies
and a tutu, don't you know...
Her shirt says "My heart belongs to Daddy"

Ava is getting really excited about snow and winter
and all things Christmas.

Everywhere we turn she sees lights and trees
and Christmas type things.

And when you get this girl going on Christmas,
she starts getting really excited about her birthday too!

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
