I love my family.

First off, look at that face. Who wouldn't LOVE her?

I mean seriously? She is so funny & happy!

But did you know she can golf?

Don't worry, either did we.

I am not sure she knew either. But she did it, sort of.

I can't say I didn't see her try cheating a time or two.
But maybe she learned that part from me : )

The real skills she learned from Linda.
Grandpa would be proud, if only he looked out his window : )
Next time...

He did seem a little happier today,
baby steps....I have faith that we are getting there.

I couldn't be more proud to have a family that all pulls together and makes things happen. We are strong, loving and best of all totally there for each other.
We rock.

Adventures in Potty Training...

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. At one point she peed on the floor and looked up at me...

New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
