Ava's Celebrity Experience

We took Ava to Pump it Up Jr. to play tonight. We knew one of her favorite Sesame Street characters was going to happen to be there...

Look!!! It is really him, it is Elmo!!!!

Okay, he really didn't look that much like Elmo to John and I but Ava was sure sold.

She dragged him EVERYWHERE.

He was a pretty good sport about it.

She made him watch her go down the slide...


And was quick to get his approval for every cool thing she did...

She kept an eye on him to make sure he didn't get away.

She was able to share him...a little bit.

The funniest moment was when Ava went behind Elmo to "tickle his back" he is a bit taller then she can reach so she ended up grabbing the poor guys butt and startled him quite a bit. I have never seen a more embarrassed Elmo.


I think she is in LOVE.


I think Elmo was pretty smitten with her too! : )

Wow, she really loved him, so cute!!! We saw Dora there a while ago.. the costume wasn't very good either.

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. At one point she peed on the floor and looked up at me...

New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
