One Month Old, Already.

Happy one month Norah!
Time sure does fly when YOU are the only one
getting any sleep.
Just kidding, well sort of. I am sure Ava still
gets sleep and John gets some sleep.
What I learned this month?
Don't starve your baby or they seem
REALLY MAD ALL THE TIME!!

Now? She is much happier.
And we all like her not just love her : )
We also think she is even cuter now that she is happy.

The day Ava turned one month old she smiled at
me for the first time.
So consequently I tried all day long to get Norah
to smile at me and it just didn't work.

Although in her defense Ava in a way was 12 days
older because that is how much longer she hung out
on the inside. So if Norah doesn't smile in the next
12 days we will know she is a total slacker.

Isn't it nice having a big sister to set these kind of
obnoxious standards for you???
Got to love that.

Adventures in Potty Training...

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
