Happy Birthday John!

Today is my wonderful husbands birthday!

The last six weeks have been a real sleep challenge
but he is hanging in there.
He works very hard every day to support our family.
Even though he doesn't have a lot of extra time
he loves spending any that he does have with his girls.
He reads to them
They love that, especially Ava.
Norah doesn't know it yet but he will play horsey
with her too when she is old enough. That is Ava's favorite.
John also plays cars and helicopters.
And tickles and chases.
And cuddles.
Such a good daddy.
We are all so lucky to have him.
Happy Birthday to my wonderful husband!!!!

I hope we can make your birthday as happy
as you make us each day!!!

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
