Pumpkin Patch Fun

Figured I better take a picture of Ava on the way to the
pumpkin patch, you never know how long a hat she
insisted on wearing will last...
When we told her we were going to the pumpkin patch
she of course assumed we should bring her pumpkin
with us. Winco pumpkins don't belong in a patch!
She was super thrilled when she got word that Colton
would be joining us.

We went to Plumper's, just like last year.
It was MUCH busier this year but not too crazy.
Perfect!

We let her ride a pony, last year we decided she was
too little to care either way, this year it was a must.
This is her second pony ride, the first was Rock Star
at the fair, this one was named Fancy. $5 buys
quite a bit of happiness!!

didn't pay for her to go into, maybe next year : )

They even had a play structure!
I can't think of any other way I would rather spend
our beautiful fall morning. I love our little family.
Next year Norah can join in on the fun too!

Maybe if the weather is nice on Saturday (or Friday) we can sneak off to a pumpkin patch. I always feel it is a must of a photo opp for the fall season.

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
