Happy Saturday!

Nothing too exciting going on here today,
just a little Craig's List buying & selling.
Oh the fun, I do love Craig's List, although I feel like we are fighting today.
No one wants to buy my old ugly couches.
No one wants to sell us the perfect car for the perfect price.
I am sure it will all work out in the end.
So completely off subject I thought I would share a few cute pictures of
my favorite subject in a new little outfit from the grandparents:



On a brighter Craig's List note,
we did just find some great replacement couches.
So exciting!
The only problem?
New couches make me want a new rug, new end tables, a new coffee table,
new artwork & a total remodel on our kitchen.
It is kind of like that whole if you give a mouse a cookie theory...

Adventures in Potty Training...

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
