Our New Game

A few weeks ago one of our cousins recommended we try a new game.
It is called Monopoly Deal:

It is like a super quick, cut-throat version of the original.

Besides the fact that it can be super frustrating when you are not winning...
WE LOVE IT.

Even the chipmunk loves it.
But he never loses.

You should go get it RIGHT NOW!
For less then six dollars you could have hours of awesome fun,
~or~
hours of getting your butt totally kicked.
I would advise not having Bayli play with you unless you enjoy watching others win.

I think I'll start with this game, rather than that Ticket to Ride one that is $50 or more! We've been playing UNO lately, Sam loves it, and she always wins!

Adventures in Potty Training...

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
