Happy Birthday My Love!!!

I know it feels like we just did a birthday tribute but today is John's Birthday!!
He is 43 today. Or maybe it was 34, one of those for sure.

I thought I would share a few photos of my handsome husband in his honor,
I know you will be shocked to find Ava in most of them.

Just a little consequence of being an awesome Daddy.


I love that John has a silly side, he makes me laugh all the time.

This next one is on the ferry in Seattle, back before we were married.

I love all the wonderful pictures I have of John. He is so photogenic.
He is not just super handsome, he is a REALLY good person, a fantastic husband and a devoted, loving father. We are so fortunate to have him be all ours!!

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
