The Very Best Daddy.

Image
I love my husband for an infinite number of reasons. At the top of that list is the kind of Dad that he is. He is patient. He is fair. He is kind. When he see's me struggling he jumps in and takes over. He loves his girls to the moon & back. He plays with them every day, takes them to the park, read them books, becomes their horse when they need a little ride. He helps Ava put her jammies on, brushes her teeth, cuddles with her as they watch crabs (Deadliest Catch). He invites Ava to do yard work with him & doesn't even go crazy when she asks her 428 questions as they go. He loves her inquisitive mind and encourages her with books on all the subjects she shows interest in. When Ava is at her naughtiest John just shakes his head and says "It's a damn good thing she is so cute." I couldn't ask for a better husband. There truly is nothing more awesome & perfect then to have a really good man love and raise your kids. We make such a great team, I woul...

From the Phone

Billy got Norah her first tulle. It was sort of hard to stop taking pictures of her in it. But you know how I am... I hardly matters what she is wearing, it's pretty much guaranteed I'm gonna take photos. Sadly I had misplaced my camera and was without it for about a week. Thankfully I have my phone, otherwise I would of been so lost. In our recent LC adventures we went down to the sand several times. I didn't take very many pictures but I did take a few. Norah really did have so much fun this time. She happily watched the other kids play and seemed totally content with me keeping her up & out of the sand. (I'm so mean!) We heard about this art festival going on in Taft so we were all excited to go to it. Turns out it was SUPER lame. There were about 6 booths and 7 of them were a disaster. : ) So we hit the sand again. Carmen & Ava, so cute! I'm proud to say I took one picture of something other then my children: Ok, back to the kids, we got to meet Se...

Sitting, Eating & Jumping Oh My!

Image
So we have tried our hand at a little rice cereal. It's not going well. She just spits it out. No real interest at all. It's funny because Ava at this age acted like we had been starving & depriving her her entire life. Norah also wants nothing to do with vitamins or medicine of any kind whereas Ava couldn't get enough. Oh well no hurry there. At least she is partially bottle fed so I can sneak in whatever I want her to consume : ) Chris & D'Auna got this Jenny Jump Up at their baby shower & graciously allowed us to borrow it for a bit since their little baby won't need it for at least 4 months. Norah is totally a jumper so I think she will take to it quickly. The chick never stops moving her legs, so this thing seems meant to be. She seems to be getting the hang of it, I'm sure by next week she will be jumping like crazy! Norah is also super close to sitting up on her own. That means we can start using this thing too, of course she needs a blank...

Beachy : )

Image
As usual, Billy takes the best pictures. I love this face: I wish Norah was looking up, even though you can't really tell she LOVED the beach this time. And seriously?? How cute is this? Love. Love. Love.

A little cute to tide you over.

We are at the beach right now & I awesomely forgot my camera. : ( So no beach pictures, but rather I shall share some other cuteness. I find it funny that you can never get them both to look really happy at the same time. If I was really good I would just crop two pictures together and then they would both be smiling. But that is ok, sometimes the serious ones are even better then the smiling ones. I love Ava's face in this one: So sweet & tender. I love them, both of their little faces make me so happy!! I will work on getting some decent beach pictures with my phone : )

Around the Yard

Image
Here is a few pictures of our yard. My wonderful husband gets every spec of credit for it's beauty. He loves working on it and I love that he loves doing it! I'm personally not a fan of yard work. I was tortured with weeding as a child. We have 3 garden beds. He grows us all sorts of wonderful veggies. It is the coolest thing to just go outside and pick fresh veggies for dinner. Yum! He mows our lawn a few times a week. It's like a golf course out there : ) Here is the front yard. It's so pretty, WAY prettier then the actual house : ) Flowers everywhere John even limbed our trees This rhododendron was so happy to get more sun, it didn't even used to bloom! He works hard from sun rise to sun down. It's a labor of love. We are so thankful that he loves it!! This is the side yard, the newest addition. He is creating a pathway that will wind through it and changing the fence line over here as well. He makes our home BEAUTIFUL! Thank you my love for all that you do...
