Real Fun.

We had the best beach trip ever. We had amazing family time
along with the added bonus of having friends join us for the
day on Sunday, just the right balance = perfection.

We tried to teach Aubrey Go Fish & Memory,
she wasn't all that into it, but it was fun.
The park was amazing, the fog was rolling over the water
and the sun was breaking through just enough to keep
us warm and happy.

Baby Trevor, they are the same age, almost exactly.
Erin & I have been blog & Twitter friends for awhile now.
I met her through Rhi, they have been best friends for years.

Erin & her family!
It was like my imaginary friend turned into a real one : )

Ava was good and worn out after all that playing.
What a perfect day.

Jumping on here, as I knew you would have blogged by now about our great day together! We had such a wonderful time too and I also enjoyed getting some face time with you, friend! :) You are easy to get to know and I appreciate that as I feel I am fairly similar...just am who I be & lay it out there pretty easily, lol. Really can't wait for next time. It was such fun and I miss you guys for sure! xoxo

It was a great day! Thanks for having us, I'm glad it worked out. We even managed one and a half activities with six kids to think about, whew! The pics of me with each of my kids are awesome-I might need you to send me those :)

Adventures in Potty Training...

I began potty training Ava right around the time she turned one. I broke out the potty and began encouraging away. She faked interest in the beginning but soon it became apparent that the child was a little hopeless, to say the least. Throughout the year that followed I realized that this strong willed child would need a little more time, as well as mom backing the heck off. Before she turned two I came across a blog a mom was writing who made a bold statement of parents simply being lazy if they aren't potty training their kids very quickly. I was so mad about when I read that but also felt like maybe she was right all at the same time. It motivated me to simply take away Ava's diapers and sort of force her into being ready. I spent the entire day encouraging her as she had accident after accident. She managed to pee in her potty about 4 times and everywhere else about 347 times. I was so stressed out, so was she. At one point she peed on the floor and looked up at me...

New Pool!

We just got a new pool, the kids are pretty excited.  They've spent a lot of time playing in it already.  These were all taken right after we finished blowing it up.  : ) So much fun!

Birthday Fun

Here we have it, little chick turned 4. It was a fun day packed full of all the  things Ava loves, family, friends,  playing, eating sweets, the day couldn't  of been more perfect. Love our little four year old!! This is going to be a great year. Happy Birthday Baby Girl!
