Perfect weather made better with friends.

Today was one of those perfect Spring days (here's to hoping Winter is behind us...) where there was no other place to be than outside.   Norah and I dropped Ava off at school, then ran to the park (literally) to meet up with Asher & Audrey.    We went to Reedville Park, which is actually where we first met Lauren and her kids.  What a blessing, we just love them!!  The kids had a great time in the sun, as did we.   After I ran Norah home for a super quick nap we headed back to the school to grab Ava.   Poor Malia's mom did not look well at all so we invited Malia along with us to play at the library.   Our good friends Yafit & Sophia met us there to play, ironically THAT is where we first met them as well.  The girls had fun posing for a picture for me, making silly faces was their favorite!   We also got a little dog fix in too, there were some guys filming roller blade tricks ...

Together.

Pretty typical scene here.   These kids are crazy.    Happily playing together, until something goes wrong.  Someone gets in trouble.  Needs to apologize.   They hug and make up.  Ava picks her up, then they fall over together.   And laugh...  and laugh...  and laugh.   I love the way they love each other! Sweet girls, love them so much!

Anniversary Weekend

John and I had a great time at the beach for the weekend, all by ourselves!   Mom took the kiddos, thanks mom!!!   We immediately hit up a happy hour after we dropped them off.  We tried a new place in McMinnville called  411 Lounge .  They are known for their Bloody Mary's, this one is a Thai Bloody Mary.  YUM!!    I'm not even a fan of Bloody Mary's but this one was delicious!   Next we headed to Lincoln City where we got settled in, then ran some errands, including picking up dinner at Jasmine Thai .  We have a tradition of getting their Pad Kee Mao extra spicy, then crying over how wonderfully delicious and crazy spicy it is.  At first you aren't sure if you can eat it, it's that spicy.  Then you can't stop eating it.  I can't explain it, but you've got to try it!   We mostly stayed in that night playing cards and chatting, it was great! We did run over to the casino briefly to chec...

Angels.

You know I have a thing for taking pictures of these girls while they are sleeping.  They just look so sweet and innocent.   I'm praying they are both on their very best behavior for my mom over the weekend while she watches them for us for our anniversary trip.  8 years, yay!  Little angels. Maybe in two years she won't laugh hysterically at the suggestion that she take them for a week, this time we were kidding, next time we hope to be serious.  10 year anniversary here we come!!  Mexico maybe??  Here's to hoping!   Be good girls!!  You've got to successfully trick grandma!   xoxo

Dress up.

We had a fun anniversary night with our littles, we took them out to Chevy's.  They don't really care where we go, they just love restaurants.  They are actually really well behaved in them too, which is the only reason we'd consider taking them out! Our "official" celebrating will take place this weekend, John & I are going to the beach, all by ourselves!!   We are super excited!!   Although we will miss these sweet little faces!!  They are so cute with John right now, they both can't wait for him to be done working each day so he can play with them.  They beg him to hurry and be done, constantly plotting what they will play or do, it's adorable!  Yesterday we had a little play date with Morgan.  It's been awhile since we've gotten together, the girls were thrilled!  Of course Morgan & Ava dressed up, they always do.  There was even several costume changes that took place.  Ava insisted thi...

8 years.

Today is a very special day.  We've been married eight years today!  We've been learning a lot of things about each other through the years, all of them making us understand each other better and in turn making our marriage stronger.  It's not always perfect, but I wouldn't want any other person by my side, he is The One. Or more accurately, MY ONE. I can very honestly say that I have never been happier in my life, and it is largely due to being married to my wonderful husband.  I have never felt more freedom to just be myself, I feel surrounded by love and respect, and I can't imagine having anything else more conducive to a good marriage.  He is my best friend, my rock, my heart.  I know he is as proud of me, as I am of him.  We lift each other up and pull each other through.  Our love, our life together, it's a very beautiful thing!  I really couldn't feel more blessed!   Happy 8 year...
