Ava's doing much better, she still has a cough but IF there was school, I'd be sending her.  But they happened to be off, both yesterday and today.    Yesterday Norah wore one of my favorite outfits that totally reminds me of Ava at this age.  In fact, lets interrupt this blog post to take a look back at some photos of mini Ava, wearing it too: Who wore it better? Sniff, sniff.  As much as I absolutely adore Ava exactly as she is now, I do miss THIS Ava.  Anyhow, back to yesterday, I am on an organizing kick.  I always have a need to organize and de-clutter.  My wonderful husband got the ball rolling with cleaning out our whole garage, it looks beautiful.  I then hit my closet and yesterday the girls' closet too.   You'd think we have 47 little girls with as many clothes as they have.  It's crazy.  This is just their closet, they each have a large dresser STUFFED FULL.  It's kind of embarrassing.  So next step is the

I kept Ava home from school again today.  She said she felt better but her breathing was still really labored and she wouldn't stop coughing.  I'd hate to expose her to other kids with her immune system weak, for their sake as well as hers.  I'm glad I kept her home since out of no where she puked all over the place half way through the day.  I don't think she has the flu, I think the coughing made her gag, at least that's what I'm hoping.  It's hard to keep Norah any reasonable distance from Ava, they are pretty inseparable.  Cute, but not advised. The saddest part for me was the terrible guilt that has followed after Ava told me that she was sure I would be mad that she threw up.   I of course wasn't at all and as I cleaned everything up and was helping her wash her hair she seemed genuinely surprised at how nice I was being to her.  That is heart breaking to me.  It makes me think she doesn't trust me as her mom to be patient, have

Wanted: Health.

Poor little Ava is sick, it break my heart to see her this way.  She looks like death warmed over, has a low grade fever, and won't stop coughing, bless her heart. These pictures are from last week, when she was feeling better, we caught Ava sitting in John's chair, reading books, wearing his glasses.   And here are a few from Friday, it was penguin day at school, also hat day.  She rocked both looks.  : ) And here's Norah, just reminding us that she is still two, throwing a fit.  In this case she didn't want to take a nap and was so busy protesting this fact that she totally missed the part where I had said she could wait until a little later to take her little rest...clearly she was already ready.   Norah has got a little starter sickie voice going so I'm scared we this may be just the beginning of all the fun, here's to hoping they both wake up well tomorrow!

Great weekend!

John & I focused on a little Spring cleaning this weekend.  We also celebrated our accomplishments with a date night Saturday.  We hit up the Cruzroom for happy hour, if you haven't been there, you really must go!  They serve the best tacos, all fancy and CHEAP.  Oh and their tater tots?  Oh my gosh.  So good.  They house infuse many liquors and offer them up cocktail style for happy hour for just $4.  The drink we had was an apple-ancho chili pepper vodka with soda water and a splash of grapefruit.  My next mission is to make this at home, it was amazing!  After church on Sunday we all went on a family walk.  It was perfect weather.  We all got some great exercise, the girls even attempted to run with me part of the way.  The trail we walked on had many playgrounds so we got to stop and play at along the way, super fun.  So many fun things through the weekend but my very favorite was something HILARIOUS Norah said on Saturday.   We had been disciplining Ava

Dawson Creek

On Wednesday we met up with our good friends Ashlie, Ryan, Jack & Hanna for a nice little "walk" around Dawson Creek.  I use the term "walk" lightly since we basically ended up running, those kids are FAST!!  Love all these shots of our little friends!!  Norah was having so much fun balancing on this edge while I had a heart attack.  She REALLY wanted to do it all by herself.   Love, love, love.  Oh her sweet little face.  Poor little Jackie ended up falling on his head off this wall, a very high section of it, it was so scary and awful!   He is ok, but this poor family has been through enough, Jack is already knee deep in fighting for his life from leukemia.  Him & his mom don't need anymore health scares!  : (  Love this little guy! These are some of my current favorite pictures
